Qualifications
Responsibilities
Define and oversee the thermal architecture from initial design through production, including system architecture simulation and analysis, material selection, thermal solution creation, and cost optimization.
Translate product use cases and real-world scenarios into thermal loading conditions that enhance early design iterations.
Conduct thorough thermal analysis at varying fidelity levels as required: analytical for directional insights, coarse for quick iteration of ideas, and detailed for in-depth studies.
Develop and implement custom thermal testing infrastructure and methodologies tailored to each product program.
Collaborate across departments to ensure thermal constraints are integrated into broader system-level decisions regarding power budgets, enclosure design, and silicon selection.
Requirements
Over 8 years of experience in thermal engineering with a proven track record of successfully launching multiple battery-powered consumer electronics.
Expertise in thermal simulation tools such as Icepak, Fluent, Ansys, or similar, along with real-world validation experience.
Extensive knowledge of thermal module technologies, including heat pipes, vapor chambers, TIMs, and graphite spreaders, along with experience in vendor evaluation.
