Responsibilities:Lead the design and project management of transportation infrastructure projects, such as roadway enhancements, traffic studies, and rehabilitation efforts. Coordinate permitting processes, technical studies, and client communications to ensure seamless project execution. Utilize internal talent and foster a local network to support scalable project delivery. Advocate for quality, innovation, and continuous improvement within transportation engineering. Mentor junior staff and exhibit leadership capabilities to develop a strong local team. Promote BKF’s comprehensive range of services and actively engage in cross-selling to regional clients. Enhance visibility in the North Bay by cultivating robust relationships with clients and business partners. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field. Active California Professional Engineer (P. E.) license is required.10+ years of experience in transportation infrastructure, including design and project management of roadway, transit, or related civil projects. Extensive knowledge of transportation design, including roadway geometry, traffic control, grading, and utility coordination. Demonstrated ability to lead planning studies, master plans, and infrastructure projects from conception to completion. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders. Proven success in building client relationships and strategically positioning for project opportunities. Entrepreneurial spirit to pursue new transportation projects and establish a local presence, with potential to grow and lead a small team. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
