Description:

The Senior Project Manager will oversee and drive multiple Information Technology (IT) projects for the Michigan Department of Treasury. This role requires an individual who can design, plan, and coordinate diverse work teams while adhering to established project management frameworks such as the PMI standards. The Project Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the alignment of both business and technical objectives, working closely with project sponsors to fulfill project goals effectively.

This position mandates in-person collaboration at our Lansing office.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning and execution of IT projects utilizing the State's SUITE methodology and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools.
Establish project charters, work plans, and track progress against budget and schedule metrics.
Document risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage project scope and communication plans.
Build and lead project teams, assign tasks, and evaluate team performance while fostering a collaborative environment.
Provide technical support to team members and manage complex application features and designs.
