We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee a variety of intricate IT Security projects and programs. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication abilities and a comprehensive understanding of project management standards, adhering closely to the PMI framework. In this role, you will collaborate extensively with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple IT programs and projects for the DTMB - Chief Security Officer (CSO) organization, focusing on complex enterprise initiatives related to IT Security and Infrastructure.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and scope while managing project activities effectively.
- Define project parameters including scope, duration, resources, and cost, while determining the optimal approach to meet project goals.
- Manage project scheduling, tracking, issue resolution, risk management, change management, and status reporting.
- Adhere to the State Unified Information Technology Environment (SUITE) Project Management Methodology and System Engineering Methodology, grounded in industry-standard PMI and SEI’s CMMI frameworks.
- Utilize the State’s Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool (Changepoint) across all projects.
- Coordinate with project teams, design and implement project plans, and collaborate with IT managers and technical teams.
- Serve as a program manager for large, complex enterprise IT Security initiatives.
- Act as a partner to other project managers, ensuring Project Management Quality Assurance for their initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong initiative and independent judgment while overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle.
- Establish a structured approach to managing a complex environment, emphasizing quality, productivity, and consistency.
