We are seeking a skilled Senior Python Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Supply Division. In this role, you will take charge of core backend systems that enhance our network planning optimization product. Your contributions will directly assist network planners in scheduling vehicles, drivers, and timetables, thereby enhancing travel experiences for millions of passengers while boosting our profitability.
Our team is dedicated to building and maintaining an optimization platform that tackles various use cases, from vehicle and driver scheduling to timetable optimization. We adhere to modern system design methodologies, including Domain-Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture, and SOLID principles, with rigorous architectural boundaries enforced through tooling. Our backend workloads, including APIs, event consumers, and Kubernetes jobs, are designed to scale while upholding high code quality standards.
The algorithmic engine of our product is crafted by Operations Research Engineers utilizing mathematical optimization techniques. As a Senior Python Engineer, you will oversee the engineering framework surrounding these algorithms: managing APIs, use cases, data pipelines, infrastructure, and domain models that link optimization outputs to the broader system.
