About the Role
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Backblaze, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software through automated testing. You will work closely with our development team to design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks, while also mentoring junior engineers and advocating for best practices in quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track defects, while working closely with developers to facilitate timely resolution.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting a culture of quality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in QA automation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
