About the job

The Senior Resource Manager will spearhead the production resource planning, allocation, and optimization for our EMEA and Americas teams. This pivotal role is essential in ensuring the optimal utilization of both internal and external talent to achieve our creative and commercial objectives, while effectively balancing capacity with project demands across all studios and disciplines.

Please note that this role is exclusively open to candidates who possess a current Right to Work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead resource management for EMEA and Americas, overseeing production resource planning, allocation, and optimization across all studios.
  • Enhance capacity visibility through real-time tracking of artist availability, skill sets, and utilization to facilitate efficient project execution.
  • Manage workforce planning by balancing internal and freelance resources, fostering strong partnerships, and aligning hiring with project needs.
  • Promote excellence in processes and systems by standardizing scheduling practices, enhancing tools, and advocating for data-driven decision-making.
  • Deliver strategic insights by providing forecasting, analytics, and performance reporting to assist leadership in operational prioritization.

Resource Scheduling & Capacity Planning:

  • Oversee the precise allocation of internal and freelance resources across global production teams.
  • Establish real-time visibility into artist availability, skill sets, and project assignments.
  • Manage the global scheduling platform and resourcing tools to support seamless production operations.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads to ensure resource utilization aligns with project and business priorities.
  • Coordinate with Studio Leads and Project Managers to maintain balanced workloads and facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Lead weekly resource planning meetings with key stakeholders to forecast and mitigate potential bottlenecks.
  • In conjunction with Heads of Production, optimize resource deployment to adapt to changing project demands and enhance efficiency.

Utilization & Forecasting Management:

  • Partner with Finance and Business Planning to deliver precise utilization forecasts and staffing models.
  • Identify capacity shortfalls, surplus, and opportunities for resource rebalancing across teams and projects.
  • Track utilization trends to refine forecasting accuracy and support proactive decision-making.
  • Provide senior leadership with visibility into utilization data, emphasizing risks and opportunities.

Workforce Planning & Freelance Resourcing:

  • Oversee comprehensive studio capacity planning, encompassing both short-term and long-term workforce strategies.
  • Drive the integration of freelance resources as necessary to meet project demands.
