Role overview

The Senior Revenue Accountant will focus on ensuring accurate revenue and cost accounting. This role involves working closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Technology teams to manage monthly closing, analyze revenue trends, strengthen internal controls, and refine accounting processes. Technical accounting expertise, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset are important for success in this position.

Location and schedule

Relocation to Boston is required for this role. The position follows a hybrid schedule: in-person work is expected Tuesday through Friday, with remote work on Mondays unless an accommodation is arranged. The Boston office environment emphasizes connection, teamwork, and mentorship.

Main responsibilities

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the order-to-cash process and its impact on revenue recognition and financial reporting.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly analytical reviews to confirm accurate revenue and related account recording in line with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue, and related accounts.
  • Collaborate with teams across Sales, Professional Services, Operations, FP&A, and IT to ensure correct accounting treatment and reporting.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining reporting and analytics for revenue and key metrics.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analyses.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls by executing SOX controls and documenting processes.
