This Senior Revenue Manager position is currently based in San Francisco, California, but requires relocation to Boston. The role follows a hybrid schedule: onsite work is expected Tuesday through Friday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays unless an approved accommodation is in place. The Senior Revenue Manager reports directly to the Director of Revenue Accounting.

What you will do

  • Lead daily revenue accounting operations, overseeing revenue streams, journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures.
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 606 for revenue recognition and related accounts.
  • Review and document technical accounting conclusions for complex contracts, including hardware, SaaS, and professional services arrangements.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Commercial Controllership, IT, Professional Services, and Sales to assess contracts, address revenue issues, and improve order-to-cash processes.
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly close activities, analytics, and revenue reporting.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, supporting internal and external audits, including SOX compliance.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to support efficiency and scalability.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to building a high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in revenue accounting, especially with complex, multi-element arrangements.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and its application.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication skills for working with various teams and stakeholders.

Additional details

  • Relocation to Boston is required for this position.
  • Hybrid work model: onsite Tuesday through Friday, remote on Mondays (unless otherwise accommodated).
