What You BringBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Extensive experience in revenue accounting, preferably in a publicly traded company. In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 and its application in a multi-element revenue environment. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively. Proven track record of leading teams and driving process improvements.

Role overview

The Senior Revenue Manager will lead revenue accounting operations and act as a strategic partner to teams across FP&A, Commercial Controllership, IT, Professional Services, and Sales. The main objective is to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition under ASC 606, especially in a complex environment with hardware, SaaS, and professional services contracts.

This position is based in Austin, Texas, but requires relocation to Boston. The work arrangement is hybrid: in-person collaboration in Boston is expected Tuesday through Friday, with remote work on Mondays unless an approved workplace accommodation is in place. The Senior Revenue Manager reports to the Director of Revenue Accounting.

Main responsibilities

  • Oversee daily revenue accounting activities, including management of revenue streams, journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures.
  • Ensure revenue recognition and related accounts comply with ASC 606.
  • Review and document technical accounting conclusions for complex and multi-element contracts.
  • Collaborate with other teams to evaluate contracts, resolve revenue issues, and improve order-to-cash processes.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly close activities, analytics, and revenue reporting.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, supporting internal and external audits, including SOX compliance.
  • Drive improvements in processes, automation, and systems to support efficiency and scalability.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of high performance.

  • Willingness to relocate to Boston for this role.
