The Sentry Tower Software team is at the forefront of developing robotic systems that deliver exceptional force protection capabilities. Our systems monitor the perimeters of secure areas, land or sea, detecting approaching personnel, vehicles, and vessels. In a world where security personnel are inundated with sensor data, our products utilize advanced sensor fusion and autonomy to present an integrated operational picture through Lattice.

ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Software Engineer to become a vital member of our rapidly expanding team in Irvine. In this position, you will spearhead software development for both current and next-generation Sentry Tower systems. Your role will involve close collaboration with stakeholders from various Anduril business lines, including Air Defense and Counter Intrusion, ensuring that we prioritize features that enhance user experience in the long run. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead feature development and deployment for our products, including:
- Building a Software-in-the-Loop simulator for our Tower product
- Developing an autofocus control system for cameras
- Creating a distributed over IPC coordinate frame library
- Redesigning Pan-Tilt controls for precise movement of heavy loads
Responsibilities include:
- Designing, evaluating, and implementing sensor integrations that facilitate operations by both human and autonomous agents
- Owning service functionality to ensure reliability and alignment with customer objectives
- Submitting well-documented, tested pull requests to address critical issues
