This Senior Robotics Technician position is based in Pensacola, FL. The role centers on assembling, testing, and refining electromechanical systems for humanoid robots. What you will do

  • Lead the assembly and construction of robotic systems and subsystems
  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks, such as soldering, crimping, bearing replacement, and modifying housings for pre-production builds
  • Set up and maintain testing equipment, fixtures, and support tools
  • Assist with assembling, calibrating, and troubleshooting custom actuators
  • Work closely with mechanical and electrical engineers to influence early design and assembly methods
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and design iteration cycles
  • Manage lab inventory, including custom and standard parts (motors, encoders, gearboxes, bearings, torque sensors, cables, fasteners, tools)
  • Follow safety protocols and keep the lab organized and clean
  • Document testing setups, lab procedures, and hardware configuration changes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with actuators or electromechanical assemblies in a lab or R&D setting
  • Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot electromechanical systems
