Qualifications

Proven experience in security engineering, with a strong focus on privacy and compliance. In-depth knowledge of ISO/IEC standards, SOC 2, and global privacy regulations. Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC), CI/CD pipelines, and architecture integration. Strong programming skills and experience in automation, scripting, and API integration. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to risk and compliance management. In the role of Senior Security Engineer, Privacy, you will act as a key advisor at the intersection of security, privacy, and engineering. You will ensure that governance, risk management, compliance, and data protection are integral to every product and platform we develop. Collaborating with security engineering, product management, legal, and leadership teams, your mission will be to embed security and privacy-by-design principles into Docker’s technology stack while enhancing compliance with frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, SOC 2, and various global privacy regulations.

This position requires you to blend comprehensive governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) expertise with practical privacy engineering and automation skills. You will design scalable solutions that enhance compliance processes, boost risk visibility, and operationalize privacy controls. Your responsibilities will also include developing and maintaining automated workflows for risk management, compliance monitoring, data protection assessments, and audit readiness, while also influencing product strategy and technical design decisions.

This is a pivotal role for an engineer who excels at the intersection of policy, code, and architecture, and who is dedicated to creating secure, privacy-respecting systems that safeguard both our platform and our customers’ trust.
