We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented R&D Harness Assembly Technician to facilitate electrical system development, integration, and documentation for our autonomous maritime platforms.ResponsibilitiesAssemble and route wire harnesses and cable assemblies following drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications.Integrate harnesses into Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) and Marine Unmanned Surface Vehicles (MUSVs), including installation in confined marine compartments, watertight enclosures, and externally mounted hardware.Collaborate with engineering teams to refine harness designs, lengths, routing, and termination specifications during prototyping and system deployment.Solder and terminate connections to solder cup style connectors, including ODU and other high-density circular connectors.Ensure robust electrical connections, proper shielding, environmental sealing, and strain relief in accordance with marine and defense standards.Accurately document all build processes, revisions, rework, deviations, and configuration changes as per internal procedures.Assist in developing and maintaining work instructions and configuration-controlled documentation.Maintain an organized and safe workspace, including effective tool management and inventory tracking.QualificationsA minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in harness assembly, ideally within R&D or prototyping settings.Strong ability to read wiring schematics, connector tables, and mechanical routing drawings.Proficiency in soldering to solder cup style connectors such as ODU or similar precision connectors.Familiarity with military specification (MIL-spec) connectors (e.g., D38999), marine-rated cables, and environmental sealing methods.Proven ability to document processes and maintain clear records of work performed.

What You Will Do Apply NASA and similar systems engineering practices, including model-based systems engineering (MBSE), to manage requirements, milestones, and program needs. Lead and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams through the design, development, and testing of spaceflight hardware programs.
