Key ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Modernization: Lead the design and implementation of a scalable, 'Cloud-First' AWS infrastructure. Drive the transition towards fully automated, state-of-the-art Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). High Availability & Resilience: Develop and implement robust Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity plans, advancing our services towards a zero-downtime deployment strategy. Performance & Capacity Engineering: Formulate strategies for capacity planning and autoscaling, optimizing our compute resources (EC2, Lambda) for efficient handling of variable traffic patterns. Advanced Observability: Establish our monitoring and alerting framework using New Relic for in-depth APM and system insights, partnering with IncidentIO to proactively address issues. Streamlined CI/CD: Collaborate with feature teams to enhance Change Management and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring safe and predictable transitions from code commit to production. Cloud Security: Strengthen our network architecture and application security posture, including WAF management and secure service-to-service communications.

We are in search of a dynamic Senior Site Reliability Engineer who will spearhead the strategic transformation of our cloud infrastructure. Reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering, this position is perfect for a visionary builder, someone keen to move beyond mere maintenance into the exciting domain of architectural innovation.

In this role, you will have the freedom to assess our existing AWS infrastructure and lead the modernization initiative. Your mission is to scale a high-velocity system by implementing best practices, robust guardrails, and automated architectures that will support our exponential growth. You will serve as the principal authority on reliability, performance, and security of our infrastructure.

Note: This is a hybrid role based in our Santa Clara, CA office, requiring in-office attendance two days a week, Monday and Wednesday.
