About the job
About the Role
We are on the lookout for a talented and driven Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team at our Dubai office. This pivotal role will focus on ensuring the reliability, security, and performance excellence of our innovative Open Banking systems through comprehensive functional and non-functional testing.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a mid to senior-level SDET to make an immediate impact on our expanding platform while enjoying mentorship and collaboration with our experienced SDET team.
You will utilize your extensive coding and quality assurance skills to enhance our testing standards, promote automation maturity, and serve as a quality advocate across the entire engineering lifecycle.
Company Overview
Lean Technologies has seen tremendous growth, tripling in size over the past year, and we are poised to triple again in the coming year. What began as a pioneering Open Finance platform in the region is rapidly evolving into a comprehensive multi-product infrastructure company that powers payments, data, and lending across the MENA region. We are expanding into new markets, establishing new offices, acquiring businesses, and creating capabilities that are unprecedented in this area.
With billions of dollars processed in transactions and over 300 trusted clients, including major names like Tabby, Tas’heel, and Hungerstation, we are backed by prominent investors such as General Catalyst, Sequoia, and Shorooq. Our recent $67.5M Series B funding is just the beginning of our journey.
Your Responsibilities
As an SDET, you will be responsible for leading quality initiatives, including:
- Design and Architecture of Automation: Lead and significantly contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of our in-house, scalable automation frameworks and testing infrastructure for complex Open Banking solutions.
- Quality Leadership: Work closely with product, development, and DevOps teams to translate complex functional and non-functional requirements into robust test plans and strategies.
- Establishing Quality Gates: Define, advocate, and enforce quality guidelines and best practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure that quality is built in, not just tested on.
- Execution and Analysis: Conduct meticulous analysis of test results (functional, performance, security), proactively identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
