About the job
ABOUT ROCKET LAB
Rocket Lab is a pioneering end-to-end space company committed to providing responsive launch services, comprehensive spacecraft design and manufacturing, payloads, satellite components, and more, all with the goal of democratizing access to space. The rockets and satellites we develop and launch facilitate some of the most ambitious and essential space missions around the globe, bolstering scientific exploration, Earth observation, climate change initiatives, national security, and groundbreaking technology demonstrations.
Our Electron rocket has established itself as the second most frequently launched U. S. rocket each year, successfully delivering over 230 satellites to orbit. We are also in the process of developing Neutron, our next-generation medium-lift, reusable launch vehicle, designed for larger constellation deployments. Additionally, our Space Systems division designs and manufactures a wide range of satellites, payloads, and components, including spacecraft selected for NASA’s missions to the Moon and Mars, as well as components used in the James Webb Space Telescope.
SPACE SYSTEMS
At Rocket Lab, we are not merely launching rockets; we are crafting the future of space exploration. Our Space Systems team is responsible for constructing everything from complete spacecraft and precision payloads to the subsystems that enable them to operate seamlessly in space, such as solar panels, flight software, star trackers, optical systems, separation systems, radios, and more.
The Space Systems team has facilitated more than 1,700 missions, encompassing interplanetary exploration, in-space manufacturing, and national security initiatives. We have developed spacecraft, payloads, and components for missions to the Moon and Mars, collaborating with partners including NASA, the Space Development Agency, and the U. S. Space Force. Whether it involves a single high-performance spacecraft, a constellation, or the vertically integrated components that assist them in reaching space, our world-class Space Systems team is empowering some of the most daring and ambitious space missions.
