Role Overview: Senior Software Engineer – Windows/Desktop Applications

Location: Eugene, OR, USA (remote team)

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and at times C++.
  • Set and maintain standards for Windows desktop development, with attention to code structure, performance, memory management, responsive UI, maintainability, and compatibility across Windows 10/11+.
  • Advance accessibility by integrating and validating support for accessibility APIs. Ensure effective UI controls, focus management, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader compatibility for users with disabilities.
  • Work closely with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and the Windows platform roadmap.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of features: from concept and design through implementation, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance. Prioritize quality, reliability, and consistency throughout.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and compatibility issues. Recommend architectural or design improvements where needed.
