Role Overview: Senior Software Engineer – Windows/Desktop Applications

Location: Eugene, OR, USA (remote team)

What You’ll Do

Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and at times C++.
Set and maintain standards for Windows desktop development, with attention to code structure, performance, memory management, responsive UI, maintainability, and compatibility across Windows 10/11+.
Advance accessibility by integrating and validating support for accessibility APIs. Ensure effective UI controls, focus management, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader compatibility for users with disabilities.
Work closely with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and the Windows platform roadmap.
Manage the full lifecycle of features: from concept and design through implementation, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance. Prioritize quality, reliability, and consistency throughout.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and compatibility issues. Recommend architectural or design improvements where needed.
