Your Role:
- Collaborate within a dynamic team of engineers and research scientists employing an AI-centric approach to facilitate safe, large-scale self-driving solutions.
- Spearhead the design and development of automotive-grade electrical distribution systems, encompassing wire harnesses, connectors, load analysis, pinouts, and vehicle networking.
- Craft intricate 3D CAD assemblies that integrate both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and proprietary hardware across varying vehicle zones.
- Customize integration strategies for a range of vehicle platforms, from passenger cars to heavy-duty trucks, while meeting specific technical criteria.
- Produce production-ready 2D and 3D CAD packages, implementing GD&T and detailed specifications to ensure precision in fabrication, including development and maintenance of device transmittals.
- Leverage extensive knowledge in injection molding, machining, sheet metal, and casting to enhance part design for manufacturability.
- Oversee technical execution from initial prototyping to final vehicle launch, collaborating with build technicians to validate hardware functionality.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electromechanical interface challenges between proprietary technology and OEM platforms through rigorous analysis.
- Manage comprehensive subsystem details, including bills of materials (BOMs) and mass roll-ups, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
