Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments for humanoid robots across various customer applications.

  • Formulate Functional Safety Concepts, Requirements, and Technical Safety Specifications.

  • Execute system-level analyses to establish requirements concerning stopping distances, perception, and timing/spatial/force constraints.

  • Develop requirements for fail-safe and fail-operational behaviors, degraded states, and human-robot interactions.

  • Create test cases for verification and validation purposes.

  • Design, engineer, deploy, and utilize system safety validation equipment at HIL, SIL, and system levels.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Certification as a Functional Safety Engineer in IEC 61508 or ISO 26262.

  • Proven experience in designing safety systems for complex electromechanical products with critical safety components.

  • Familiarity with optics, machine vision, and computer vision technologies.

  • Demonstrated history of hands-on engineering work, including test benches, measurement, and root-cause analysis beyond mere documentation.
