The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, showcasing technical expertise in delivering projects in the resources and infrastructure sectors within a consultancy environment. Essential qualifications include:Tertiary qualifications in Civil (Structural) Engineering or a related field. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and/or Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) highly preferred. Strong understanding and application of local standards, Australian standards, and relevant statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to structural design and engineering. Proven experience in water and civil infrastructure design, including drainage, stormwater management, and dams. Expertise in heavy industrial structural design. Familiarity with Spacegass and Strand7 software is advantageous. A desire for professional growth and a positive attitude towards mentoring junior engineers. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels.

Join our dynamic QLD Structural team as a Senior Structural Engineer (5+ years' experience) or Structural Engineer (3+ years' experience). In this role, you will play a critical role in delivering technically intricate structural projects within the resources and water infrastructure sectors, encompassing both brownfield and greenfield initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and supporting projects at various stages of their lifecycle, focusing on resources, roads, drainage, dams, water treatment plants, stormwater management, and heavy industrial developments.
  • Conducting technical project tasks, which involve structural calculations, designing and reviewing drawings, specifications, estimates, and reports.
  • Offering technical expertise and advice throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility assessments to detailed designs, condition evaluations, and construction support for concrete, precast, and steel structures.
  • Ensuring project work aligns with technical and contractual obligations.
  • Managing financial aspects by tracking project costs and advising clients of any scope changes or resource variances.
  • Engaging in client relationship management and contributing to broader business development efforts for the QLD structural team.
