Role Overview: Senior Surveyor
DOF Canada is seeking a Senior Surveyor based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This position plays a key role in bridging offshore and onshore teams, reporting directly to the Project Manager. The Senior Surveyor will support multi-year international and local projects, with rotations typically lasting 4 to 6 weeks. The survey team is expanding to meet growing project demands.
What You Will Do
- Supervise calibration and testing of survey equipment and software before projects begin.
- Coordinate mobilization of survey equipment and software on vessels.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of data flow from calibration at mobilization through logging and quality control.
- Assist with developing project procedures and preparation activities.
- Manage daily field operations to ensure data quality and accuracy meet contractual requirements.
- Ensure all survey equipment is calibrated, with up-to-date documentation and adherence to calibration procedures.
- Uphold data collection standards in line with recognized survey practices and approved guidelines.
- Oversee project work scope offshore, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Provide guidance and supervision to the offshore survey team.
Location
This role is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The survey team also supports the expanding office in Paradise, NL.
