What You'll Do: Lead aspects of the global month-end close, collaborating with teams to deliver timely and accurate consolidated results. Review intercompany transactions and prepare reconciliations for monthly global settlements across over 13 entities. Prepare consolidation elimination entries and ensure the integrity of results across multiple systems. Analyze foreign currency gains and losses, work with Treasury and International Controllers on cash positioning, and help identify strategies to mitigate FX exposure. Own key SOX controls related to financial close, NetSuite access, and Chart of Accounts (COA) updates. Conduct technical research on foreign currency and hedging accounting, translating guidance into practical processes. Drive automation and process improvements; participate in ad hoc projects including M&A integration and system enhancements. Provide NetSuite training and support to Finance teams to enhance consistency and adoption. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA or CPA candidate preferred. 3–5 years of relevant experience in multinational, high-tech, or publicly traded companies; experience at a CPA firm is a plus. Hands-on month-end close experience, including the application of SOX controls. Strong analytical skills and a passion for process improvement.

Role Overview: Senior Technical Accountant, Consolidation

The Senior Technical Accountant will focus on consolidation, supporting the month-end close process and strengthening SOX compliance. This role works across departments to help scale financial operations as Box continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and execute the month-end close process for consolidated financials
  • Support and maintain SOX compliance standards
  • Collaborate with teams in International Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Shared Services, FP&A, and ERP Systems
  • Drive automation and process improvements

Team and Reporting

This position reports to the Senior Consolidation Manager within the Controllership team. The role offers regular collaboration with partners across several finance and operations groups, with visibility up to the CFO.
