Role overview
The Senior Technical Consultant role combines hands-on technical work with client-facing consulting. This position centers on designing and implementing software solutions using the Appian platform, with a special emphasis on AI-driven projects. The role offers the chance to develop as a consultant while tackling complex business and technical challenges.
What you will do
- Work with clients after the sales process to design and build software solutions on the Appian platform.
- Lead projects from requirements gathering through design, development, and deployment of custom software and AI tools for commercial clients.
- Operate within an agile framework to analyze client business processes and technical requirements.
- Deploy new relational data models into production environments.
- Create APIs for integration with external systems.
- Explore and implement AI use cases, using Appian’s AI tools such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative models.
- Collaborate with client technical teams and business users throughout the software development life cycle.
- Support clients in building their own process applications independently.
