About the Residency
The Sexual & Reproductive Health Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Residency is a full-time, two-year post-graduate training program tailored for newly graduated Nurse Practitioners, Certified Nurse Midwives, and Physician Assistants who aspire to gain advanced clinical experience in sexual and reproductive healthcare. This residency integrates supervised clinical practice with structured learning and professional development to facilitate a smooth transition into independent practice.
Residents will provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare services, which include:
- Gynecologic care and preventive screenings
- Breast and cervical cancer screenings
- Gender-affirming care
- STI testing, management, and treatment
- HIV prevention through PEP and PrEP
- Contraceptive counseling and procedures, including IUD and implant insertions/removals
- Medication abortion and post-abortion care, including telehealth delivery
Throughout the residency program, participants will engage in didactic sessions, skills labs, case conferences, professional development activities, and receive mentorship.
