Position Overview
The Shipping Associate plays a crucial role in our operations by ensuring the precise processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include maintaining organized and clean workspaces, verifying product quality, and ensuring all documentation is correctly processed for each order. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, safe handling of materials, and proactive communication with our production team to align with customer expectations and production timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping Duties:
- Efficiently package and wrap products to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify accuracy of shipping paperwork using ERP systems to ensure correct quantities and parts are dispatched.
- Generate detailed bills of lading and maintain orderly shipping records.
- Monitor conveyor operations, remove finished units, and load products into trailers or storage locations.
- Conduct quality inspections of products and packaging prior to shipment.
- Prepare pallets for delivery, including stretch-wrapping.
- Track essential daily shipping items and provide status updates to the production team.
- Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks for material handling within the warehouse.
- Manage material recycling processes, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and maintaining a tidy workspace.
Receiving Duties:
- Process incoming shipments, confirming counts and quality against shipping documents.
- Deliver necessary materials or parts to production areas as required.
- Perform visual inspections of received items for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
Material Handling and Inventory Management:
- Conduct inventory spot checks to ensure stock integrity.
