Qualifications and Experience: Valid Auto Body Collision and Damage Repairer (310B) Red Seal License. Proven experience in auto body repair and restoration. Strong understanding of automotive repair procedures and ability to interpret technical documents. Expertise in welding, frame straightening, and body repair techniques. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.

Join our dynamic team at CSN Dundas Valley as an Auto Body Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming damaged vehicles back to their original condition in terms of structural integrity, functionality, and aesthetics. We seek a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review work orders and repair cost estimates, developing a plan of action for repairs.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of collision damage, ensuring all vehicle exterior components and power accessories are functional, and identifying any prior damages.
  • Execute structural and complete body repairs: This includes repairing or replacing front-end components, body panels, doors, frames, and underbody components.
  • Straighten bent frames utilizing frame pulling and anchoring equipment, and address dents and defects with appropriate tools.
  • Perform welding tasks using MIG welders and compression spot welders.
  • Thoroughly dismantle damaged vehicle areas to uncover hidden issues early in the repair process, replacing damaged components as needed.
  • Utilize power and hand tools to file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces.
  • Operate soldering equipment and apply plastic filler to repair holes, dents, and seams.
  • Adhere to all OEM procedures and utilize data effectively.
  • Inspect repaired vehicles and conduct test drives to ensure proper handling.
  • Read and interpret repair estimates and automotive repair procedures accurately.
  • Work with various materials including metals, plastics, glass, electrical, and mechanical components.
  • Demonstrate experience with frame and measuring tools, along with vehicle disassembly and reassembly.
  • Commit to following standardized production processes and embody the values of CSN.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
