About the job
About Applied Intuition
While we are primarily an in-office company expecting employees to work from our Applied Intuition offices five days a week, we appreciate the need for flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may involve occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home, or leaving earlier when necessary to accommodate family commitments.
About the Role
Responsibilities
- Design the architecture for the L4 trucking fallback stack, integrating interfaces for perception, behavior, planning, control, and the core autonomy stack.
- Devise strategies for degraded driving scenarios, minimal risk maneuvers, and transitions to remote assistance.
- Specify and assess algorithms that identify autonomy degradation and initiate suitable fallback behaviors or remote interventions.
- Collaborate closely with behavior, planning, and perception engineers to ensure alignment of safety logic and trajectories with fallback requirements and operational design domain (ODD) constraints.
- Architect and refine innovative solutions to enhance system reliability and safety.
