We are seeking a kind, passionate, and collaborative problem-solver who thrives on the opportunity to think creatively and challenge the status quo. Additional qualifications include:A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development using programming languages such as C#, Java, and Python. A minimum of 3 years of experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and backend frameworks (ASP. NET Core, Spring MVC). Familiarity with relational database systems, including PostgreSQL and MySQL. At least 1 year of experience in Linux system administration. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) is a plus. Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with hospital partners and vendor companies in Japanese.

Role overview

This position focuses on developing secure, reliable software that transforms raw patient data into high-quality, actionable data products. Collaboration is a key part of the role, involving daily work with clinicians, oncologists, product leaders, quantitative scientists, and clients from different regions to address real challenges in oncology.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions, including web applications and data processing pipelines, to support evolving business needs
  • Build scalable, automated pipelines with strong observability and reliability
  • Create solutions that address complex business, security, and data privacy requirements
  • Apply software engineering best practices to data management, such as writing unit tests and ensuring data quality through complex transformations
  • Deploy solutions directly at partner hospital sites when required
