Qualifications
A strong command of Go for developing backend services and concurrent applications. Experience in deploying, managing, or troubleshooting containerized applications in Kubernetes environments. Hands-on experience with AWS (or similar cloud providers) to deliver scalable solutions. A proven track record in developing and maintaining distributed systems and RESTful APIs. Experience in incorporating automated testing and quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle. Proficient in utilizing AI tools (such as GitHub Copilot) to enhance engineering productivity while maintaining code quality. Familiarity with modern deployment pipelines and regular code shipping to production environments. Previous experience in the processing, analysis, or organization of audio/video data and associated metadata is a plus, but not a requirement.

Collaborating closely with our product team, you will lay the technical groundwork that transforms Australia's richest media archive into a versatile digital platform.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining high-performance Golang backend services and APIs to enhance the searchability and accessibility of our extensive media archive.
Contributing to cloud-native solutions on AWS, focusing on resilient and auto-scaling microservices.
Creating automated modules for media processing to ensure top-notch audio and video delivery to our partners and internal teams.
Engaging in the complete deployment lifecycle, consistently deploying code to test and production Kubernetes environments.
Working in an autonomous Agile team, collaborating with product owners and colleagues to tackle technical challenges.
Prioritizing code quality through peer reviews and testing to keep our systems robust and maintainable.
Continuously enhancing your skill set by learning DevOps practices and exploring new technologies within our modern tech stack.
