As an Entry-Level Software Engineer at Arch Global Services, you will play a pivotal role as a system configurator, focusing on the development, implementation, and maintenance of innovative software solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include gathering and interpreting user requirements, effectively translating them into functional applications and systems.
In this role, you will engage in analysis, design, configuration, debugging, testing, and providing support for various software applications. You will collaborate closely with the Agile Program Manager (APM), Digital Product Manager (DPM), and Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to accurately capture stakeholder requirements and system specifications, transforming them into essential engineering artifacts such as design specifications, source code, test scripts, and test results.
- Work alongside software architects and engineers to ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture principles and best practices in software development.
- Participate as a key member of Agile teams, contributing to application design, coding, code reviews, and testing while keeping the Agile team and APM informed of project progress.
- Provide valuable insights to stakeholders, promoting effective and efficient methods to achieve project objectives.
- Proactively manage engineering risks by tracking and communicating potential issues, while developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Coordinate with various project teams to address interdependencies and resolve any challenges that arise.
- Assist business units in resolving complex user inquiries and issues, adhering to production support processes and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and software engineering standards, practices, and tools.
- Contribute to the APM/DPM in formulating the Product Roadmap and High-Level Estimates.
- Collaborate with IT management to establish and refine documentation and engineering artifact standards, guidelines, processes, and templates.
