About the job
Join Adaptyv, a pioneering company revolutionizing biology experimentation with AI-driven automation.
We are on the cutting edge of agentic science, where AI models are capable of designing innovative proteins, formulating hypotheses, and refining experimental outcomes. However, these models still rely on human intervention to conduct experiments, a process that can take months. We are creating a robust infrastructure that empowers AI agents to interact with the physical world seamlessly.
Currently, over 50 organizations, including major biopharmaceutical companies, leading AI laboratories, and numerous techbio startups, are leveraging Adaptyv's automated lab for their wet lab experiments.
Our automated laboratory operates on a sophisticated software and hardware ecosystem, comprising API-controllable lab instruments valued at millions of USD, meticulously orchestrated devices through intricate workflows, comprehensive monitoring of lab activities, processing pipelines for complex physical data, and AI systems designed to troubleshoot production outcomes and expedite assay development.
As we expand rapidly, we are seeking skilled professionals to meet the soaring demand for AI-enhanced wet lab experimentation.
Position Overview
In this role, you will contribute to LabOS, our internal software platform, by developing the orchestration layer that manages everything from experiment scheduling to execution and data processing. This is a full-stack product engineering opportunity situated at the intersection of software and real-world biology.
Your daily tasks may include:
Developing interfaces and APIs that provide scientists and AI agents with real-time visibility into lab operations.
Creating custom AI agents and tools to automate decision-making throughout the experiment lifecycle, from protocol design to troubleshooting.
Transforming proprietary hardware into devices that can be controlled programmatically via APIs.
Designing scheduling systems that manage multiple lab instruments with complex dependencies.
You will take ownership of significant components of our product. As part of a small team, your contributions will have a substantial impact on our development.
