About the job
About Redwood Materials
Redwood Materials is pioneering a circular battery supply chain that emphasizes recovery, reuse, and recycling, ensuring critical minerals remain in circulation to facilitate the global energy transition. Established in 2017, we are proud to produce battery materials in the U. S. for the first time using batteries that are already in circulation, delivering low-cost, large-scale energy storage solutions.
Software Validation Engineer, Energy Storage
The Redwood Vision: Architecting the Future of the Grid
We are at the forefront of a global energy transition. At Redwood Materials, we are transforming from battery recycling to creating the most advanced, circular energy ecosystem on the planet. Our mission is to transition the industry from static, hardware-heavy infrastructure to dynamic, software-defined energy assets. The Software Validation team plays a crucial role in ensuring that these intricate systems are safe, resilient, and primed for deployment at grid-scale.
As a Software Validation Engineer, you will serve as the vital link between code and physical implementation. You will design and maintain environments, Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), which are essential for stress-testing our power electronics and site controllers. Your objective is to develop automated frameworks that identify edge cases before they reach the field, guaranteeing that every product we deliver meets our high standards of quality and safety.
