The Solution Architect role is based in Colombia and involves leading the design and implementation of software solutions. This position requires close collaboration with teams across Mexico, Colombia, the US, and Brazil. English fluency is necessary for daily communication with colleagues and clients.
What you will do
- Lead technical teams, guiding developers in building, enhancing, and maintaining applications while exploring new technologies.
- Oversee project quality and ensure best practices are followed in every deliverable.
- Engage in multiple projects spanning different domains and clients.
- Facilitate design and architecture discussions, making collaborative decisions.
- Work closely with user experience, product delivery, and program management teams for cohesive execution.
- Maintain security and performance standards in all technical solutions.
- Create and update essential documentation for clients.
- Align technical solutions with customer teams and translate requirements into actionable frameworks.
- Mentor tech leads and developers during solution implementation.
- Promote a stable and productive development environment.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in software architecture and technical leadership.
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong background in backend development using Node.js and JavaScript.
- Openness to learning and adapting to new frameworks.
- Experience designing software architecture and selecting appropriate technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly serverless solutions.
- Ability to create proof of concepts and develop complex features.
- Interest in working with a variety of technologies and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to mentor and share expertise with junior team members.
Preferred qualifications
- Understanding of non-functional requirements, including performance, security, privacy, and GDPR.
- Knowledge of Design Patterns, Clean Architecture, and Clean Coding principles.
- Familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with Terraform.
- Significant experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
