About the job

Join AVK Seg UK Ltd as a Special Projects Project Manager and take charge of site-specific project planning and management. You will be responsible for coordinating with AVK suppliers and project managers to ensure seamless execution of tasks. Your role will involve overseeing the AVK Site Manager, subcontractors, and commissioning teams, as well as leading meetings to monitor progress and discuss commissioning plans. You will also attend client site meetings to present detailed reports and manage the scheduling of commissioning activities, ensuring all systems are verified and accepted by clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning:

  • Create detailed project plans that define the scope, objectives, timelines, and required resources.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure their requirements and expectations are fulfilled.
  • Example: Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to provide updates and collect feedback.

Resource Management:

  • Effectively allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and technology.
  • Example: Develop a resource allocation matrix to monitor team roles and workloads.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and devise strategies to mitigate their impact.
  • Example: Maintain an updated risk register to track new risks and their statuses.

Team Leadership:

  • Inspire and lead project teams, promoting a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Example: Organize team-building exercises to improve communication and collaboration.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track project progress against established plans and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Example: Prepare weekly status updates for senior management outlining progress, challenges, and next steps.

Budget Management:

  • Oversee project finances to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Example: Utilize financial tracking software for expenditure tracking and cost forecasting.
