Delta Capita is on the lookout for a skilled SQL Developer to drive a significant client project. You will be immersed in a sophisticated work stack and a structured consulting delivery model. This pivotal role entails designing high-performance SQL assets and data models, optimizing application queries for excellence, and collaborating closely with analysts, product teams, and engineering to ensure dependable delivery within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
SQL Engineering & Data Design
Create, construct, and enhance SQL objects like tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and ETL/ELT logic.
Develop and maintain logical and physical data models, ERDs, and data dictionaries.
Optimize SQL performance through indexing, partitioning, and query refinement.
Establish validation rules, constraints, and reconciliation checks to ensure top-tier data integrity.
Pipelines & Environments
Contribute to the development of ETL/ELT pipelines and facilitate environment promotion utilizing standardized patterns.
Leverage version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows for managing database modifications.
Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams on capacity planning, monitoring, and backup/recovery strategies.
Smart Work Stack & Delivery Discipline
Engage in a structured delivery model (story backlog, layered delivery, reusable components).
Utilize consulting-grade practices such as documentation, peer reviews, testing execution, and quality assurance checkpoints.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning sessions, retrospectives).
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with Business Analysts, product owners, and downstream users to translate requirements into solid SQL designs.
Assist in UAT, troubleshoot defects, and swiftly resolve logical discrepancies.
Create runbooks, knowledge transfer documentation, and adhere to governance and security protocols.
