About the Role
As a Staff Application Security Engineer at SafetyCulture, you will play a key role in ensuring that our platform is secure by design and by default. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to establish secure architectures, APIs, and development practices on our cloud-native SaaS platform hosted on AWS.
Your responsibilities will include scaling security practices while maintaining engineering velocity. In this leadership position, you will spearhead cross-team security initiatives such as secure-by-default patterns, major authentication transitions, and significant dependency risk mitigation. Additionally, you will guide architectural decisions across various product teams and mentor fellow engineers to elevate secure coding and design practices company-wide.
About You
You are a hands-on security engineer with a solid foundation in software engineering. You possess a deep understanding of modern SaaS platforms, including microservices, distributed systems, and CI/CD processes, and you know how to implement security in practical and scalable manners.
