Qualifications

Key Skills:6-8 years of experience with a strong reputation in backend integration and REST API development using the Spring framework (Java/Kotlin), microservices, and native cloud environments. Ability to contribute to architectural decisions at both team and product levels. Proficient in Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JUnit, NoSQL databases, in-memory caching, API gateways, design patterns, logging, Spring Security, and Maven. Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Python is a plus. Hands-on experience in production cloud environments with Docker and DevOps CI/CD practices. Experience with Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, Kubernetes, OpenAPI, Gradle, and Linux shell scripting is desirable. Agile Experience:Proven experience in Agile Development, ideally with a background as a Solution Architect or similar role. Understanding of the dynamics between Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Designers, and Quality Assurance. Ability to manage technical priorities within the project backlog. Individual Skills:Strong communication skills with the ability to align teams on complex technical decisions. A proactive coach and mentor dedicated to maximizing the team's potential. Join our innovative team as a Staff Backend Java Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in leading API and integration capabilities. We are looking for a hands-on technical leader who not only excels in coding but also fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team to tackle complex challenges effectively.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Solution/Software Architect to create detailed low-level designs for team members.
  • Guide project teams on technology strategies regarding coding practices, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
  • Actively participate in coding to assist the team in developing solutions and resolving technical issues.
  • Identify and eliminate technical obstacles that may hinder progress.
  • Partner with the Product Owner to craft user stories and acceptance criteria, effectively communicating trade-offs with designers.
  • Continuously seek innovative solutions to technical problems and challenge existing practices.
  • Provide a roadmap for implementing best software engineering practices to enhance code quality.

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager.
