About the Role:
Join our dynamic team as an experienced and forward-thinking Controller. In this leadership role, you will be a key player in shaping our financial strategy within a fast-paced e-commerce environment. You will manage daily accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and enhance financial processes to ensure precision, compliance, and scalability. The perfect candidate will possess extensive knowledge of US GAAP, an operational mindset, and a track record of successfully managing audits, accounting teams, and financial procedures in complex, high-volume settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), month-end closing, general ledger management, tax filings, and audit preparations.
- Guarantee that financial statements are produced in accordance with US GAAP.
- Architect and refine internal controls, accounting systems, and financial processes.
- Lead and nurture a high-performing accounting team; ensure effective delegation, performance measurement, and professional growth.
- Oversee audit preparation and execution, collaborating with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Advocate for process enhancements and standardization throughout the finance department.
- Supervise working capital needs, particularly in high-volume settings like marketplaces and e-commerce platforms.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing insights for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategies.
Qualifications:
- 12–15 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a Controller or senior leadership position.
- Profound knowledge of US GAAP and tax compliance regulations.
- Solid experience in managing audits and working alongside external auditors.
- Proven ability to lead accounting teams and manage remote personnel effectively.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
- Robust problem-solving capabilities and a process-oriented approach.
- Adaptable to fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Bonus: Experience in e-commerce or related sectors.
