We are seeking a talented and experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Assystem in Chennai. The successful candidate will primarily focus on the review and design of Temporary structures, as well as Metro rail and Bridge structures for ongoing and future projects. This role is essential for contributing to our STRUCTURES Business Unit, where you will engage in the design of innovative metro rail projects and Railway structures.
- Conduct comprehensive design reviews of Temporary structures, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement intricate structural designs for Metro rail projects, maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of structural designs with various engineering disciplines.
- Utilize advanced structural analysis tools, such as STAAD and MIDAS, to perform sophisticated analyses.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and design documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers, offering guidance on structural design principles and best practices.
- Engage in site visits to evaluate structural integrity and deliver expert recommendations.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to effectively communicate design concepts and solutions.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in structural engineering, particularly regarding Metro and Railway structures.
- Ensure all designs are completed within project timelines and budget constraints while upholding quality and safety.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to uphold the highest standards of structural integrity across all projects.
