We are seeking a Structural Engineer to become a vital part of our Industrial/Energy team at our Wichita office. This role involves contributing to the design of diverse projects, including refineries, ammonia and fertilizer plants, logistics terminals, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on the design and development of detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, and site observation documents.
- Perform structural calculations utilizing various design materials, particularly steel and concrete.
- Support the selection of suitable building materials.
- Prepare cost estimates and/or appropriation requests for capital projects.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, interviews, and client presentations.
- Participate in client meetings to ensure designs align with their objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to production staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant industry experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kansas is preferred, or actively pursuing licensure.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and RISA software.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple project tasks effectively. Excellent presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills are essential.
- Able to work under pressure, demonstrate good business judgment, and handle confidential information responsibly.
- Compliance with MKEC and client drug/alcohol testing and safety protocols.
