About the job
Are you a structural engineering aficionado ready to influence the future of artificial intelligence? Large-scale language models are advancing from being simple chatbots to becoming robust engines of scientific innovation. By supplying high-quality training data, we can empower AI to democratize world-class education, stay aligned with the latest research, and enhance technical workflows for engineers globally. Your expertise is vital to fuel the next generation of AI.
We are seeking structural engineering specialists who possess a deep understanding of structural analysis, materials science, reinforced concrete design, steel structures, earthquake engineering, bridge design, and finite element modeling. You will engage with advanced language models on intricate topics such as load path analysis, shear and moment calculations, structural dynamics, building code interpretation, stability of structures, failure mechanics, and seismic load modeling. Documenting every failure mode will help us strengthen the model’s reasoning capabilities.
On an average day, you will interact with the model on design scenarios and theoretical structural engineering inquiries, ensuring factual accuracy and logical integrity, capturing reproducible error traces, and proposing enhancements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
A PhD in structural engineering or a closely related field is highly preferred; peer-reviewed publications, field inspections, building information modeling (BIM), or experience with large-scale structural design projects will be considered advantageous. Effective, clear communication, demonstrating your thought process, is essential.
Are you ready to convert your structural engineering expertise into the foundational knowledge for tomorrow’s AI? Apply today and start educating the model that will educate the world.
