ProSidian is actively seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Seismic for the Guest Module of the Dam Operator Safety Training program: Fundamentals, Inspection, Monitoring & Field Practicum [DOI0012011]. This role is offered on an exempt 1099 contract basis without overtime pay, primarily based in Denver, Colorado, and covering locations across the Western United States in support of federal dam safety oversight and training initiatives under the Department of the Interior (DOI) Bureau of Reclamation, focusing on operational safety and infrastructure resilience.
We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in Government and Public Services sectors, particularly in functional and technical areas, to contribute to professional services engagements for clients such as the DOI. While this position is currently a contract role, there is potential for conversion to a full-time W-2 position with ProSidian.
JOB OVERVIEW
The SME Seismic will provide critical services and support within the Government and Public Services industry, emphasizing Human Capital Solutions for clients like the Department of the Interior (DOI) and the Bureau of Reclamation, specifically in the Dam Safety Office located at the Denver Federal Center. The role demands the development of high-quality, tailored course content designed to educate, engage, and empower learners effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Provide expert advice on seismic safety protocols for dams, including the development of modules addressing seismic performance, hazard recognition, and post-event inspection practices. Ensure course materials align with DOI seismic and structural safety standards while distilling seismic risk for dam operators, covering essential monitoring and escalation protocols.
- Work will be conducted primarily in the Western United States region, with an initial worksite at PO Box 25007, Denver, CO 80225-0007. Remote work options may be available.
