Position Overview

We are searching for a dedicated System Integration Engineer to join our innovative team at 1X Technologies. In this role, you will be instrumental in the integration of sophisticated robotic systems, sensors, computing modules, and software into cohesive, dependable solutions. Your responsibilities will encompass defining interfaces, system bring-up, and troubleshooting across hardware, firmware, networking, and cloud/edge services. You will collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, and field teams to transform prototypes into scalable, production-ready products, ensuring thorough validation, automation, and comprehensive documentation. This position is ideal for a hands-on engineer who excels in a dynamic environment and enjoys tackling multidisciplinary integration challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and uphold the system architecture, interfaces, and integration protocols for both hardware and software components.

  • Integrate various sensors, actuators, embedded controllers, and computing units into robotic platforms.

  • Create and implement bring-up procedures, testing plans, and validation protocols for new systems.

  • Identify and resolve complex issues across electronic, firmware, operating system, networking, and application layers.

  • Develop integration tools, scripts, and automated tests to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

  • Work alongside mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software teams to bridge interface gaps.

  • Oversee the configuration, versioning, and traceability of system components and releases.

  • Assist manufacturing and field operations with build instructions and troubleshooting documentation.

  • Examine performance logs and telemetry to suggest enhancements for stability and safety.

  • Document design processes, integration outcomes, and best practices; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
