Qualifications

RequirementsProficient in English (C1 level or equivalent). Over 5 years of experience as a systems engineer with a strong emphasis on automation. Solid understanding of server platforms, including Microsoft Windows and Linux. Proficient in Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS administration. Experience in maintaining Microsoft SQL Server and implementing backup strategies. Familiarity with both on-premises Exchange and Office 365.Knowledge of monitoring systems such as SCOM and Prometheus. Experience with Ansible scripting for automating system management. Expertise in using open-source backup tools. Thorough understanding of security best practices. Strong troubleshooting skills for technical issues with an ability to develop effective solutions. Experience with Windows Failover Clustering. Some familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services such as EC2, IAM, Config, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation. Experience with Citrix XenApp for delivering remote applications. Experience in managing remote application delivery through Citrix XenApp, ensuring secure access for users across devices. Understanding of application publishing, user access management, and performance optimization for remote application users. Experience with version control systems like Git and TFS.

Join our dynamic team as a Systems Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping core backend architecture and optimizing workflow, specifically focusing on backup solutions. Your key responsibilities will involve actively participating in the adoption, monitoring, and support of new features and backup technologies. Collaborate with your team to enhance various technological areas and drive innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage IT systems tools utilized by the team.
  • Develop and implement new technical solutions through the development, quality assurance, and production pipeline.
  • Identify and address vulnerabilities in diverse technical products.
  • Engage with external technical support when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with team members as an on-call engineer on a 24/7 flexible schedule.
  • Participate in daily NOC monitoring shifts.
  • Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Document all changes per our Change Management process and Confluence.
  • Track project progress using Jira.
  • Undergo regular security training to stay updated on best practices.
  • Implement comprehensive automation strategies across various IT processes to enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual tasks.
  • Utilize Ansible, PowerShell, and Python for automating system management tasks.
  • Identify opportunities for further automation within existing workflows.
  • Standard working hours are 9 AM to 6 PM local time, Monday to Friday, with potential on-call shifts on weekends.
