As a pivotal member of our tax department, the Tax Manager I plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and prompt filing of tax returns. Reporting directly to the Tax Director, this position involves overseeing the final review of all tax returns, conducting detailed assessments of select returns, managing workflow for assigned clients, and collaborating closely with Senior Tax Managers and planning teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily task management for assigned client portfolios.
Conduct comprehensive final reviews of tax returns and detailed evaluations of select returns before submission to planning teams or clients.
Supervise the Tax Administrative Specialist supporting the team.
Provide regular performance updates to Senior Management and/or Tax Manager II.
Qualifications
Collaborate with Senior Tax Managers and Tax Manager II to prepare for the tax season.
Work alongside Tax Seniors and the planning teams to resolve inquiries and concerns.
Coordinate with Planners to facilitate smooth interdepartmental workflows.
Develop and present training materials in collaboration with Tax Manager II and Senior Tax Managers.
