LEAP Program Overview
Global Solutions Ventures (GSV) – a partnership between ZemiTek, LLC and Dexis Consulting Group – is executing the Long-term Exceptional Technical Assistance Project (LEAP Global), initially launched by USAID to combat infectious diseases like malaria, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, neglected tropical diseases, and pandemic influenza. As of July 1, 2025, LEAP Global transitioned to the U. S. Department of State (DOS). This initiative is designed to tackle the intricate human resource challenges faced by national infectious disease programs in U. S.-supported countries.
The project’s intervention involves recruiting and embedding technical expert advisors within governmental entities. By integrating technical expertise directly into national programs, LEAP delivers sustainable, lifesaving support, empowering host governments to effectively lead and manage critical aspects of their infectious disease initiatives while enhancing coordination with the U. S. Government.
About the Role
Nepal has prioritized the elimination of tuberculosis (TB) through the Government of Nepal’s TB-Free Nepal Initiative, which is bolstered by domestic funding, lifesaving humanitarian assistance, and external resources like the Global Fund. Effective coordination at both national and sub-national levels, coupled with robust technical support for Global Fund proposal development and grant management, is vital for reducing TB incidence and mortality rates.
To enhance coordination, proposal development, and implementation oversight, a Coordinator will be engaged to assist the National TB Program (NTBP) in managing the TB-Free Nepal Initiative and Global Fund TB grants in a coherent and results-driven manner. This includes ensuring alignment between national TB priorities and Global Fund grant cycles, and strengthening coordination across federal and local levels.
