About the job

As a Teacher Aide at KIPP Miami, you will play a vital role in our educational community, collaborating closely with teachers to enhance the learning experience for students in grades 3–8. Your support will extend both inside the classroom and during various school activities, ensuring that our instructional team can focus on empowering every student to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistical and Operational Assistance:

  • Facilitate grade-level tasks such as attendance tracking, grading, bulletin board maintenance, and preparation of lesson materials.
  • Provide Tier 1 technical support and manage classroom inventory.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of shared spaces.
  • Coordinate logistical details for student and family events.
  • Organize classroom supplies, decor, and technology effectively.
  • Draft family communications and informational flyers.

Student and Instructional Support:

  • Support classroom management to foster an optimal learning environment.
  • Assist educators with planning and executing differentiated instruction tailored to individual or group needs.
  • Engage with students during school-wide activities such as meals, recess, and dismissal.
  • Manage and track student portfolios.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as needed, in alignment with the essential duties outlined above.
