In this role, you will leverage your strong mechanical and technical expertise to interpret automotive aftersales data, transforming it into accessible DIY instructions for our customers. A hands-on approach and experience with automotive systems, whether as an advanced enthusiast or a professional, are essential. Familiarity with the Haynes Repair Manual product is a valuable asset.
Your primary responsibility will be to adapt manufacturer content for DIY mechanics, ensuring that our instructions are safe, repeatable, and easy to comprehend. This includes providing helpful tips and advice to assist individuals who may not regularly engage in repair or maintenance tasks.
We expect you to write in our established DIY style, under editorial guidance, following a brief onboarding period with our in-house editors. This position is based in either our Sparkford, Somerset or Swindon, Wiltshire offices and is a full-time permanent role. Initially, the role will likely involve three days in the office and two days working from home after training.
