Appian is hiring a Technical Consultant for the Customer Success team at its McLean, Virginia headquarters. This position focuses on building software solutions for commercial clients using the Appian platform. Consultants partner with customers after the sale, helping guide projects from early planning through to delivery and launch.
What you will do
- Lead software and AI solution projects from gathering requirements to deployment.
- Work in an agile setting to understand client business processes and technical needs.
- Design and implement relational data models tailored to client requirements.
- Develop APIs to integrate with existing client systems.
- Explore and apply AI capabilities, including Appian’s AI tools like retrieval augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative models.
- Collaborate with client technical teams and business users throughout the project lifecycle.
- Help clients gain the skills to build and maintain their own process applications.
Work environment
This role is based onsite at Appian’s McLean, VA headquarters. In-person teamwork is central to the company’s culture. Technical Consultants are expected to work in the office 4-5 days per week to support collaboration and idea sharing across teams.
